CALIFORNIA INSPIRED

We grew up with weather that nourishes the soul and the soil. Produce that tastes like sunshine and feeds an entire nation. A rare level of freshness that’s inspired countless dishes, chefs, and restaurants. Early morning hikes and sunsets that never get old. K-town, Little Armenia, Olvera Street—a cross-section of cultures so vibrant, you might forget you’re in LA. That is, until you’re back at home making dinner and you realize that “healthy” isn’t happening because of hype or obligation, but because it’s second nature, it’s simple, it’s California—and it’s always been this way.

LOOK WEST

LOOK WEST

west~bourne is a forever California state of mind with our minimalist, intentional approach to food, lifestyle, and gathering. We are inspired by the atmospheric Los Angeles-based Light and Space artists of the 1960s to be a beacon connecting people and our planet. What began as the first mission-driven, zero-waste neighborhood restaurant in SoHo, NYC, dedicated to piloting conscious capitalism in the food industry, now expands through our climate positive provisions into your home.

MEET CAMILLA

Chef and Founder Camilla Marcus’ love for hospitality stemmed from a childhood filled with gathering around the dinner table, frequent trips to the farmers market, and cooking with everything on hand—from seed to stem—in order to reduce waste. All she does is enriched by her Los Angeles upbringing—communal, laidback, intentional, mindful, and always through the lens of sustainability. As evidenced by west~bourne’s community-driven model, advocacy is in Camilla’s nature. She is a co-founder of ROAR (Restaurants Organizing Advocating Rebuilding) and a founding member of the IRC (Independent Restaurant Coalition).

OUR ETHOS

OUR ETHOS

We’re taking a humble approach to safeguarding our planet, people, and future by creating nourishing pantry staples that harness the supernatural powers of vegetables. With each purchase, we offset the carbon footprint of each order by investing in The Garcia River Project, a redwood forest preservation and management project in Northern California that protects carbon reservoirs, preserves wildlife habitats, reduces risk of wildfires, and safeguards the California watershed.
