What is Regenerative Farming?

A holistic agriculture approach that’s better for you and the planet

What is Regenerative Farming?

As a regenerative brand with a plant-positive mission at our core, we’re committed to forging a new food system that focuses on long-term solutions to climate change. For us, that starts with the source—with ingredients grown in a way that nurtures and improves soil health and promotes biodiversity.

We collaborate with farms and farmers who are a part of the growing regenerative agriculture movement, working to mitigate agriculture's consequences on climate change. (Currently, traditional farming methods emit greenhouse gases that impact every area from food insecurity to chronic disease to planetary health.)

What is Regenerative Farming?

Regenerative farming is a holistic approach to agriculture that seeks to improve soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem function. It goes beyond sustainable agriculture by actively working to rebuild degraded ecosystems and restore soil fertility.

This type of farming often involves techniques such as crop rotation, cover cropping, minimizing inputs, no/limited tillage, and use of compost and other natural fertilizers. The specific practices vary from grower to grower, and based on their unique region, but the holistic practices all serve the same purpose: to create a farming system that is healthy for both people and the planet, and safeguard the soil, water, and land for future generations.

2022-2023: Regenerative Impact, By The Numbers

Regeneration is in our DNA—we believe that regenerative farming is the future of agriculture. Our zero-waste approach seeks to nourish the soil, promote biodiversity, and remove carbon from the environment. In doing so, we’re not only supporting a more sustainable food system, but creating delicious, nutrient-dense food that’s good for you and the planet. Here’s a look at our impact as we counter climate change one craveable, regeneratively farmed bite at a time.
